Judicaid Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 15, 2026

1. Our Privacy Philosophy

At Judicaid, privacy is not a feature—it is a prerequisite for justice. Judicaid was founded by a former Superior Court Judge, and we approach user data with the same seriousness and restraint expected in a judge's chambers. We collect only what is necessary, protect it carefully, and never treat your dispute as training material or a commodity.

2. No Use for Training Models

Judicaid does not use your private dispute data to train public or generalized artificial intelligence models, and our AI service providers are configured not to use your data for such training.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide mediation services:

4. Third-Party Service Providers

Judicaid uses trusted third-party infrastructure providers to operate the platform, including cloud hosting, security services, and AI processing services. These providers process data solely on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes, including model training. Judicaid configures its AI providers so that user data is not used to train public or generalized models.

5. Data Security

Judicaid uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and secure isolated processing environments. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take data protection seriously and will notify you in the event of a breach affecting your information as required by applicable law.

6. Mediation Confidentiality & Legal Protections

Judicaid is designed to facilitate confidentiality consistent with applicable mediation law, including California Evidence Code § 1119. However, confidentiality protections vary by state and circumstance. Judicaid makes no guarantee that communications will be protected under any particular state's mediation privilege. Users are encouraged to consult an attorney regarding enforceability in their jurisdiction.

7. Free Trial, Court-Referred, and Legal Aid Programs

If you are using Judicaid through a free trial offered by a court, legal aid organization, or access-to-justice partner, limited additional access may apply:
