How Judicaid Works

Judicaid is a guided online mediation that facilitates a conversation between two parties to help them try to resolve their legal dispute peacefully without court. Each side shares their perspective privately, a neutral AI mediator guides the conversation step by step, and—if a settlement is reached—Judicaid creates an agreement that each side can review and approve. The agreement is then electronically signed via Docusign and is a legally enforceable agreement.

The Process, Step-by-Step

Start the Case

Both sides join the mediation at their convenience.

1. The initiating party creates an account and starts a new mediation case.

2. They invite the other party to join by entering an email address for them to receive an automated invitation.

3. The mediation session can begin immediately—there is no need to wait for the other party to join.

4. The responding party creates an account and joins the case through the automated email invitation when they're ready.

Guided Mediation

A neutral mediator keeps things moving.

1. Judicaid's neutral AI mediator begins by communicating with the initiating party and thentoggles back and forthbetween the two sides.

2. Each party receives anemail notification when it is their turnto respond.

3. Parties are encouraged to respond promptly to keep the process efficient.

4. Either party may terminate the mediation if agreement cannot be reached after reasonable efforts.

Agreement and Resolution

If you agree, Judicaid handles the paperwork.

1. If terms are agreed upon, Judicaid prepares a written settlement agreement summarizing the resolution.

2. Both parties review and approve the final terms.

3. The parties then electronically sign their agreement using integratedDocuSigntechnology.

4. Once signed, the agreement islegally enforceable.

5. If mediation occurs in a language other than English, the agreement signed will be in English with translated versions attached for reference.

6. The dispute is resolved, court dates can be vacated, and the case dismissed as appropriate.

And everyone gets to move on—calmer, clearer, and resolved.
